WHY ARE YOU A NONPROFIT?

We registered as a nonprofit organization in the United States because we want to be clear that we exist to serve the public with high-quality journalism that enhances our understanding of the world around us. Corporate-owned journalism organizations will always have a tension between their duty to serve their shareholders and their unique role in serving the public. When those two compete, the public usually loses.

As a self-taught web designer with a background in casting, I'm comfortable calling myself a tech nerd with a good eye.

Years of experience have taught me that a blank slate can feel taxing, so I break things down, build them back up nice and easy, and have fun in the process.
