Steve Connors, Board Member

A photojournalist whose work on socio-economic and conflict related stories has taken him around the world; Steve Connors has played a key role in the development and launch of Orb. Connors filmed, co-directed and co-produced an award-winning documentary film – Meeting Resistance – on the emergence and development of the violent resistance to occupation in Iraq.

As a photojournalist, Mr. Connors has covered stories in the former Yugoslavia, Sri Lanka, Afghanistan, Iraq, Israel and Palestine, Russia, Chechnya, Ukraine and Northern Ireland. His international client list has included Time, Newsweek, Stern, Der Spiegel, Paris Match, L’Express, The Guardian, The Observer, The Times, The Sunday Times, and The Daily and Sunday Telegraph. Born in Sheffield in the north of England, Steve Connors served as a military policeman in the British army, during which time he taught himself photography.
